Puri: The Odisha women’s team opened their campaign in the third All-India T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Championship with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Jharkhand at the Shree Jagannath Cricket Stadium in Penthakata Friday. The hosts had already registered an opening-day win against Sikkim, giving them momentum early in the competition.
Friday’s fixtures featured matches in both the men’s and women’s categories. In the men’s division, Himachal Pradesh defeated Tripura by six wickets in the day’s opener, while Madhya Pradesh beat Karnataka by eight wickets in the second match. Chhattisgarh secured a six-wicket victory over Bihar in the third. In the women’s division, Goa overcame Uttar Pradesh by six wickets in the opening game, and Karnataka edged Bihar by seven runs in the second.
