Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards embracing emerging technologies, the Works department organised a one-day training programme on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for its officers and staff under the guidance of Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan at Lok Seva Bhawan here Wednesday.
With the present era being defi ned by new knowledge systems and AI, the state government has set an ambitious target of building a developed Odisha by 2036.
To achieve this vision, various strategic initiatives are being undertaken, with a strong focus on leveraging AI to ensure faster and more efficient implementation of government programmes.

The day-long training session was attended by departmental officers, engineers posted at different locations, and staff members.
The training covered various aspects of AI, including its applications, methods of use, enhancement of work efficiency, and its capability to prepare documents based on diverse data sources.
Participants were introduced to practical approaches for integrating AI tools into administrative and technical functions.
