Sambalpur: One person was killed and injured after a portion of a wall of their house collapsed at Bhalupali village under Ainthapali block in Sambalpur district in the wee hours Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Munda while the injured are Sujit Munda and Abhishek Pingua.
According to locals, the accident occurred when all the three were fast asleep. The mud wall of the house collapsed at around 3.30am killing Ajay on the spot while Sujit and Abhishek sustained grave injuries.
The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, they were shifted to VIMSAR in Burla as their conditions deteriorated.
Police after being informed of the accident, reached the spot and send Ajay’s body for post-mortem.
