Cuttack/Paralakhemundi, Dec 6: Some ‘question papers’ of Orissa Teachers’ Eligibility Test (OTET) were found to be in circulation at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district on the eve of the examination.
According to sources, four persons have been detained for questioning in this connection. When contacted, Board of Secondary Education (BSE) president Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda said investigations were underway to ascertain whether the question papers that were being sold were genuine or not.
Earlier, Gajapati SP Satyajit Nayak said the police raided a house at Tatipiti under Gurandi police station limits and seized the question papers. A total of 93,952 candidates are expected to write today’s test at 207 centres across the state.
However, Dr Nanda clarified that the examination scheduled for Sunday will be conducted as per the time and venue specified in the admit cards. He advised the examinees not to be swayed away by such rumours.
