Bhubaneswar: For realisation of Orissa Vision Document-2036, the state government Monday decided to form a panel headed by finance secretary to find out perfect economic model to execute the vision document.
For preparation of the vision document, the government has formed a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan.
An academia-administration meeting was held here with experts from New Delhi-based Institute of Economic Growth, Bhubaneswar-based centre of excellence in finance and secretaries of various departments deliberating on economic models to be followed in the realisation of the goals under Vision-2036.
“We have decided to form a sub-committee headed by finance secretary to have meetings with various stakeholders to choose the economic model, which will be perfect for our state to execute the vision document,” Balakrishnan informed the media.
Orissa would complete 100th year of its formation in 2036. The government is preparing the document to make Orissa one of the best developed states in the country, he added.
“Both physical and human resources would be streamlined for realisation of the dreams of Vision-2036. The draft for perspective developmental plan in accordance with Vision -2036 would be prepared soon,” he added.
