Puri: Panic gripped passengers of a public bus Tuesday after a youth suddenly boarded the vehicle and attacked travellers with a sharp weapon in Puri district, a source said.
The ‘Ama Bus’ was en route from Harasapada to Sukal when the assailant, for reasons yet to be known, launched a violent attack on fellow passengers, leaving four people seriously injured.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Kanas town for treatment. Police reached the spot soon after the incident and launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the assault.
The shocking incident has sparked tension and curiosity among locals.
