Bhanjanagar: A man was killed and a biker sustained severe injuries after the two-wheeler hit the former on Gallery-Nidhiapalli road near Brahmanapadar here in Ganjam district Sunday night.
The deceased was Kailas Naik while the biker was yet to be identified.
According to reports, Kailas from Chadheyapalli village of Sanakodanda panchayat near Bhanjnagar had gone to his daughter’s house at Jhaliagochha village near Gallery with some customary Dusshera sweets, fruits etc two days ago.
When he was returning home a bike coming from Gallery hit him.
The duo was immediately rushed to Gallery government hospital and later shifted to Bhanjanagar sub district hospital.
The doctors declared Kailas brought dead and referred the biker to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
