Hatadihi: Several development projects and schemes in Soso panchayat under Hatadihi block in Keonjhar district have no data, locals claim. Alleging irregularities, they have demanded a Vigilance probe into these works.
Reports said Bidyadhar Mohant, a resident of the panchayat, had sought information from the block PIO about food being supplied under NFSA, the number of housing units distributed, and utilisation of ACFC and CFC under RTI.
Even though 11 months have passed, he has not been provided with any information in this regard.
Jagannath Barik, another resident, sought information about implementation of Annapurna Yojana, panchayat ACFC and CFC in the panchayat July 19, 2019.
Two months have passed, but he has not got any information in this regard, it is alleged.
PIO Laxmikant Barik said that the RTI activist’s application has been sent to the officials of the departments concerned. “We have even sent reminders to the officials. But the departments have not yet responded to the queries. That’s why, we are unable to provide necessary information about the queries,” the PIO said.
However, ex-sarpanch Bailochan Nayak said that the block administration is deliberately not providing information fearing exposure of irregularities.
