Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The state unit of the BJP has rolled out three Prachar Raths (campaign vehicles) to attract people to party president Amit Shah’s Mahasangram rally here Tuesday.
“The three Raths will go to each and every corner of the three Assembly constituencies in the capital, highlight the BJP government’s initiatives and urge people to attend Shah’s rally here Tuesday in large numbers,” said BJP state unit organising secretary Prasanna Mishra, who flagged off the Raths in the presence of senior leaders including Sameer Mohanty and Sajjan Sharma.
This will be Shah’s first visit to Orissa and the BJP is thus expecting around two lakh people at the meeting who are expected to support the Mahasangram campaign that will be inaugurated by Shah during the rally. “We are confident that it would be a grand success,” he said.
The state unit leaders hope that the BJP president’s visit to Orissa will boost the party and help it strengthen its organisational base.
“This visit will encourage our party workers to tackle the BJD government more aggressively. The party president will continue to visit state in the coming days also. He will also discuss the present political situation in the state during the interaction with the state unit leaders,” said Sharma.
During his two-day visit to the state, Shah will address a public meeting, visit the Puri temple and hold several meetings with party leaders to chalk out future programmes of the BJP in the state.
