Phulbani: Kandhamal district administration Sunday ordered a probe into a kidney sale incident in the district. According to sources, Kanhu Behera, the son of a daily wager, allegedly sold one of his kidneys to a man in Gandhi Nagar in Berhamapur for Rs 3.5 lakh recently. Kandhamal collector Yamini Sarangi directed the sub-collector to probe the case and submit a report. Kanhu Behera is reported to have removed a kidney which was transplanted in a private hospital in Sri Lanka. PNN
