Keonjhar: A public hearing on the issues related to rehabilitation and resettlement of people displaced by various projects was held at Gujarati Samaj here in Keonjhar Tuesday.
Over 60 people from various parts of Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj put forth their problems at the meeting.
The attendees of the meeting are affected by Jamugadia irrigation project, Kanpur irrigation project, Hanumantia irrigation project, Subarnarekha irrigation project, Similipal Tiger projects.
The project-affected people alleged that that they have not received compensation nor were properly rehabilitated.
The public hearing was organized by Lokshakti Abhijan, a non-government agency.
The activists of the agency said that the repot of the public hearing about problems and issues of the displaced people will be taken up the state and the national levels.
