Cuttack: Moses Obassi scored a brilliant hat-trick as Radharaman Club registered a emphatic 6-0 win against State Bank of India (SBI) in the FAO Ist division league match here at the Barabati Stadium Monday.
The scoring spree began as early as in the seventh minute when SBI’s Md Azam Khan scored an own goal in an attempt to clear the ball. It didn’t take much long before Radharaman Club doubled their lead on 27 minutes when Obassi struck a long ranger leaving the SBI custodian with no clue.
Arpan Lakra made it 3-0 in the six minutes later before Krishanu Das making the score 4-0 just before the break.
After the change of ends, Radharaman Club couldn’t give the same energy they put in the first period. However, their foreign recruit Obassi continued his good run in the match, as he struck twice in the second period. He made the score 5-0 on 56 minutes with a wonderful strike.
It was an icing on the cake when Obassi found the back of the net in the 79th minute to complete the rout. Obassi also completed his hat-trick with the goal.
In the other match of the day Jaydurga Club got a walkover as their opponents for the day Western Mahaveer Club didn’t turn up.
