Bhubaneswar: In view of the heavy passenger rush for the upcoming Holi and Dola Yatra, Indian Railways has announced a slew of additional Holi special trains to ensure smooth and convenient travel for passengers.
Special services have been introduced to cater to the rising demand for travel from Odisha to various parts of the country during the festive season.
Major railway stations in the state, including Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar New, Puri, Brahmapur and Malatipatpur will be connected to key destinations through these temporary services.

According to sources, the additional trains will operate between February 26 and April 1 on various routes linking Odisha with cities such as Anand Vihar Terminal, Charlapalli, Virangna Lakshmibai Jhansi, Patna, Shalimar, Santragachi, Yalahanka Junction, Chennai Central, Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) and Pune.
Prominent among the announced services are the Anand Vihar Terminal–Khurda Road Specials, Charlapalli–Bhubaneswar New Specials, Patna–Puri Specials, Shalimar–Puri Specials, Santragachi–Yalahanka Junction Specials, and a one-way Puri– Pune Special, among others.
Several of these trains will run on specific days of the week throughout March to accommodate festival-related travel demand.
