However, one of the biggest stumbling blocks that they face, is a place to stay. With a daily surge in population, rent in Mumbai has reached sky high.
But we are going to tell you about a luxurious house in a posh area of Mumbai which can be yours for just 64 rupees per month. But this house has been vacant for 11 years.
This luxurious flat, stretched over 800 square feet in Slyater Road in south Mumbai’s Tardeo area, is lying empty due to a strange reason.
This flat was allotted by the Parsi community to a Parsi officer of the Mumbai Police in 1940. The building is owned by the Parsi Trust RD Mahalaxmiwala Charity Building Trust.
The trust had an agreement with the Mumbai Police that this apartment can only be given to a Parsi police officer to stay. But for the last 11 years this flat is empty. The flat’s last occupant was an assistant commissioner of Mumbai police called Feroz Ganija. The house has been empty ever since he left back ion 2008.
According to media reports, many employees of the Mumbai Police have applied for this flat but due to the condition of the Parsi Trust, the flat still remains vacant.
