Bhubaneswar: Repolling in 34 booths under several constituencies of Odisha is underway peacefully under heavy security arrangements.
Voting began at 7:00am and will continue till 6:00pm in these booths, according to a notification issued by Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) here earlier.
Out of the 34 booths, Jagatsinghpur, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal parliamentary constituencies each have one booth going for repoll, while nine booths in Jajpur parliamentary constituency, five booths each in Cuttack, Kendrapara and Mayurbhanj, three booths in Puri and two booths in Balasore are also voting again.
Out of these 34 booths, polling was held in 12 of these booths in the third phase of general elections while 22 of them went to polls in the fourth phase.
The repoll is being carried our following reports of technical glitches during the polls last time.
