There, it said, will be a marginal fall in the temperature. The intense heat wave would further decrease in most parts of the state from May 14 . In western Odisha, the temperature would hover around 40 degree C or below that during this period
The Nor’wester (kalabaisakhi), it said, would continue lashing the coastal areas and the adjoining districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Koraput.
Most areas in the western Odisha sizzled under intense heat wave conditions Tuesday as mercury soared to 40 degrees C or above at 11 places. Titlagarh recorded the highest temperature of 44.8 degrees C.
Temperature crossed over 40 degree C in Sonepur (44), Jharsuguda (43.8), Balangir (43.5), Sambalpur (43), Bhawanipatna (42.2), Hirakud (42.1), Sundargarh (42), Talcher (41.6), Angul (41.3) and Malkangiri (41.1).
