Bhubaneswar: Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan Wednesday assured that ongoing road repair works in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will be completed by September 20, ahead of the Puja season. The assurance comes amid growing public concern over the deteriorating condition of roads in both cities, especially during the monsoon.
A high-level meeting has been scheduled for September 6 with the participation of MLAs from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Mayors, Commissioners, and senior PWD officials to finalise a comprehensive roadmap for road repair and maintenance ahead of the festive season.
Minister Harichandan said all repair work will be over by September 20 to ensure smooth travel for citizens and visitors during the Puja period. With the Puja festival expected to draw huge crowds, timely completion of road repairs has become crucial to ensure hassle-free travel and public safety.
