Shergad: One person died and three others of a family were injured as the ceiling of their house collapsed at Punad village under Shergad block in Ganjam district Tuesday night.
The deceased was Priyanshu (5) and the injured were the deceased’s father Simanchal Nayak, mother Banita Nayak and elder brother Himanshu. The injured were admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur but discharged Wednesday as their condition improved. Sources said Simanchal and his family lived in the 22-year-old house.
The mishap occurred while the family members were asleep.
