Cuttack: Radha Raman Club (RRC) and Sunrise Club (SC) won their respective Group-X matches without conceding a single goal in different matches of the FAO Ist Division Super League at the Barabati Stadium here, Thursday.
Riding on a brace by Mosses Obasi, RRC thrashed Orissa Police 3-0 while the Sunrise Club scraped past East Coast Railway (ECoR) by a solitary goal.
Obasi put RRC ahead in the 15th minute which gave them momentum to put pressure on the opposition. Orissa Police defenders however, didn’t allow RRC players to do more damage in the first period as the score read 1-0 at the break.
RRC players were continuously putting pressure on Orissa Police defenders and in the 68th minute, Anand Lakra doubled the lead with a brilliant effort from the edge of the box. Obasi then completed the rout three minutes later.
In other match, the reigning champions Sunrise Club survived a tough challenge from ECoR. After a drab goalless first period, Bharat Munda made the difference by converting a cross from the left flank in the 76th minute.

LIC thrash CRRI
LIC Sports Club registered a convincing 3-0 victory over CRRI in a match of the FAO IInd Division League at the Ravenshaw University Ground here, Thursday.
Surya Kanta Naik gave LIC a wonderful start with back-to-back goals in the 12th and 14th minutes. With the pressure building on CRRI, Muna Hembram made the scoreline 3-0 seven minutes from the break.
