The state government has sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the development of Akhandalamani temple and its periphery, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said after offering prayers at the Shiva shrine in Bhadrak district Wednesday. Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Bhadrak MLA Sitansu Sekhar Mohapatra also accompanied Parida. Parida expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to visit the temple. “The government has sanctioned Rs 10 crore for development of Akhandalamani temple and its periphery. More funds will be allocated, if needed,” Parida said. Suraj thanked the Deputy CM for the announcement and assured that the state government would take all necessary steps for the temple’s upliftment.
