Bhubaneswar: Since many people opt to buy new vehicles during the festive season of Durga puja and Dussehra, the government has asked all RTOs to remain open on October 5 and October 7.
The Durga puja holidays for Odisha government offices will be from October 5-8. However, registration section of all RTOs will remain open October 5 and October 7 from 3.00pm to 5.00pm so that new vehicles can be registered. All the RTOs have been instructed to collect registration related papers from dealers. They have also been asked to ensure that dealers should not deliver vehicles without proper registration. In case dealers deliver non-registered vehicles, their trade licences would be revoked.
However, during these two days no learners’ licence or driving licence will be issued, it was learnt.
