Jharsuguda: He is a septuagenarian. During his service period there was hardly any use of computer. Yet, the way he is now doing his office work using a computer it can put many present generation employee to shame.
The man here is Dhaneswar Dehury, 71, a resident of Dhulunda village of Charpali panchayat under Lakhanpur block in the district.
After his retirement from Kolabira block in 2005 as the head clerk, he is now working at the Red Cross section and functioning from the district collectorate.
Though he has no formal computer training as this was hardly required in his prime time, his dedication and will power to excel in his job has made him computer savvy.
While his junior employees are looking for data entry operators when they need to do any computer work, he does everything on his own.
Be it data storing, sending mail or writing government letters, he does them impeccably all by himself.
There are so many government employees who are still stick to their traditional pen and paper method of office work, computer facility at hand notwithstanding. Dhaneswar, on the other hand, has set an example and once again proves the adage “where there is a will, there is a way.”
