Aradi: As many as six servitors were injured in an acid attack during a group clash near Akhandalamani temple here in Bhadrak district Wednesday night.
According to reports, two groups of servitors had a dispute over devotees. In a fit of rage, one group threw acid on other servitors.
The injured were rushed to Bhadrak district hospital. Two of them are stated to be in critical condition.
An injured servitor said, “They first started attacking our brothers over sharing of devotees. When we reached the spot, they attacked us with sharp weapons and threw acid on us.”
Dhusuri police have detained two servitors in this connection. The situation is under control, ” informed Aradi OIC Braja Kishore Das.
