Muniguda, May 22: Five posters supposedly pasted by Maoists on a roadside tree near Malidhepaguda village under Muniguda police limits in Rayagada district were found Friday, triggering panic among the people of the locality.
In these posters, Niyamgiri area committee of outlawed CPI (Maoists) has alleged that two persons named Menanda of Serkapadi and Luka of Salapjhola are working as agents of police.
“Menanda is taking Dongria youths from Niyamgiri area to Bhubaneswar on the pretext of jobs but engaging them in security organisations and forcing them to undergo police training. Similarly, Luka is motivating people of Salapjhola to support police and administration,” the outfit has said. It has warned that it will take action against such persons.
It has also demanded to provide subsidized rice with some other items like edible oil, dal, salt and dress material to people at `1.
Similarly, 14 Maoist posters and a banner were found to be pasted at different places in Parshali gram panchayat of Kalyansinghpur block in Rayagada district Friday. In these posters, the Maoists have threatened to kill Appalswami for working in collusion with the police administration for setting up a CRPF camp in Niyamgiri area. The ultras also named of several persons in these posters and accused them of assisting the police.
