Bhubaneswar: Miracles happen sometimes, out of the blue. A similar thing happened in case of Sindura Rout who thinks a miracle has happened in her life. The Bhubaneswar-born girl got to do her debut Telugu movie Maro Drushyam, a science horror. Talking to Orissa POST Sindura says she got break into movies while doing a commercial. She said the director watched her ad video along with his production unit and called a her to narrate the film’s story after which she was signed for the movie. The film was released in the theatres December 15, 2017.
The 17-year-old girl, a trained dancer, was into modelling when she was just 15. She told Orissa POST the movie was the directorial debut of actor K Rajendra Prasad who is the lead actor of the movie. The science horror depicts the use of a memory chip in human brain. “I am the CEO of a company in whose office a girl was gangraped by three employees. How I take action to give justice is at the root of the chief plot in the movie,” said Sindura. A trained Odissi, Kathak, folk and western dancer, Sindura was a Kabaddi player and had represented her school and college. She performed Odissi in 2011 and set a Guinness record.
She said she always dreamed of making her mark in the film industry. I started modelling very early and had featured in a CNN-sponsored Swaccha Bharat ad in 2015. She recently bagged another Telugu movie which is due for release early next year. The post production work of the film is in process. She has also acted in a Hindi musical album in which Alka
Yagnik had done the playback singing. Her entry into films has been smooth till now, but she knows entry into Hindi movies is not that easy. “I will take the step-by-step approach. I am at present doing several things at one go. Apart from films, I was doing my bachelor’s
degree in chemistry in Utkal University. I want to do good in studies too,” she asserted. She claimed her mother was her supporting pillar. “My father who had died last year was very proud of my achievement,” said Sindura who was in talks with her director to release her film in Orissa .
