Chhatrapur: As many as six teachers are in a soup for playing truant in Bhanjanagar block of Ganjam amid allegations that some teachers are coming late to schools
Meanwhile, the block education officer has served show cause notices on Swagatika Pardhan, Jhuna Mallick, Sonita Kumari Gouda, Santosh Kumar Senapati, Babita Kumari Swain and Purna Chandra Behera. These teachers were absent from their respective schools during the recent inspection by the block education officer.
Besides, a day’s salary of five teachers was held up for negligence in duty. The block education officer has intimated the decision to the district education officer. The teachers were clearly told that action will be taken against them if they failed to reply satisfactorily about their absence.
