State elevates 3 IPS officers to DGP rank

Bhubaneswar:  State government Saturday elevated three senior IPS officers to the Director General of Police (DGP) rank, said a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the state government.

According to the notification, 1988-batch Odisha cadre IPS officers Satyajit Mohanty and Manoj Kumar Chhabra have been promoted to the grade of DG of Police in IPS in Level-16 of Pay Matrix with effect from the date of their joining in the promotional post.

The place of posting of the above two IPS officers shall be decided by the Home department, the notification added. Mohanty served as the Commissioner of police in twin city police commissionerate till recently.

Mohanty and Chhabra apart, 1987-batch IPS officer Surendra Panwar, who is currently on central deputation, has also been elevated to DGP rank.
