Bhubaneswar: To execute three big projects related to Bhubaneswar smart city, the state government has asked Centre for a financial assistance of `910 crore under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funding.

While the railway station multimodal hub and Wi-Fi projects will be implemented by Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL), Orissa water supply and sewerage board (OWSSB) will execute the sewerage project.
In its proposal, the state government has said that Wi-Fi project will be implemented within one year while the other two will be completed in three years.
Under the railway station multimodal hub phase-I project, bus terminal with commercial areas, 2 level basement parking, shop lines, three high rise buildings ranging from G+20 to G+30 floor along with other utilities, energy station, semi-underground domestic and fire fighting water reservoir with pump rooms, rain harvesting system and garbage compartment will be set up.
