Bhadrak: Manoranjan Sahoo, 22, who was studying at the Central University of Punjab, has gone missing since June 4. Manoranjan is the son of Trilok Sahoo, a resident of Jagannathpur in Bhadrak block.
Sources said Manaronjan had taken honours in Medicinal Chemistry for PG. After completing his first year of PG at the university, he had booked a railway ticket to return home for a holiday June 4. But at the station he came to know that his ticket to Bhadrak was not confirmed. So he returned to his hostel with luggage.
When Manoranjan didn’t return home, his brother Rashmiranjan went to Punjab and tried to find him. But he couldn’t trace Manoranjan. With no other option left he lodged an FIR at the Bhatinda police station in Punjab.
In the FIR he said he had found the luggage of Manoranjan at the hostel, but he was missing from June 4.
The family informed the Bhadrak police too regarding the matter. Bhatinda police said a search is on for Manoranjan. The family has requested the Chief Minister to find their son through a video posted on the social media.
