Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Subrat Das will meet Ashutosh Padhy in the final of the 22nd All Orissa Billiards and Snooker Championships at the Vintage Club here Monday.
In the semifinals played Sunday, Subrat Das edged past Ahsan Ul Haq by 3-1 and Ashutosh Padhy thrashed Rakesh Roshan Pradhan 3-0. The semifinal matches were played, best of five frames in race to 150 points format.
Mumbai in command
In reply to Orissa’s first innings total of 248, Mumbai batted splendidly to be in a position of command on the second day of their four-day match at Mumbai, Sunday. At close of play the hosts were sitting pretty at 360 for the loss of three wickets with a first innings lead of 112 runs so far.
Arman Jafar (146 batting) and S Mulani (91 batting) were occupying the crease at stumps. Pruthwi Saha (91) also batted well but missed out on a deserving century. Priti Singh Chouhan, Govind Tandia and Rajkishan Patel captured one wicket each on a hard and boiling day for Orissa.
