Puri: Odisha is gearing up to host the national-level T-10 Tennis Ball Cricket Championship in Puri at the Shri Jagannath Stadium from September 11 to 14.
The tournament is being organised by Sri Jagannath Darshan Charitable Trust in collaboration with T-10 Tennis Ball Cricket Association of India. In a press conference held Saturday it was informed that the event has received approximately 750 player applications from across Odisha for trials.
Cricketers from all over the state who participated in the trials will witness the selection of the top 40 players for Team Odisha and Team Odisha Host. The teams will arrive in Puri September 10, with the formal opening scheduled for September 11 at 7 am, followed by the first league match at 7:30 am.
The official opening ceremony will commence from 4 to 8 pm September 11, featuring the chief guests and distinguished attendees. All league matches will take place, with several guests present for the felicitation ceremony September 12 and 13 while all semi-final and final matches will be held, concluding with the closing ceremony starting at 5 PM September 14. The prestigious event will witness the presence of ministers and eminent personalities who have consented to grace the occasion.
