Bhubaneswar, April 3: The state government is likely to face a tough time with regard to the evaluation of answer sheets of Plus II examination with the teachers of 488 and 662 category colleges are sticking to their decision to boycott the evaluation process.
Though the government has repeatedly warned the teachers to call off their announced stir, the teachers are sticking to their decision.
The government has once again warned the agitating teachers not to boycott evaluation duty. “If the teachers do not cooperate for the smooth completion of the evaluation process, we will engage retired teachers for the job for timely publication of results. We will also take stern action against the teachers who boycott evaluation duty,” higher education minister Pradeep Panigrahy said Sunday.
Higher education secretary GVV Sarma Saturday asked all officials concerned to attend evaluation work and cooperate with the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) for timely evaluation and publication of results. “Stern action will be taken according to the provisions of the Conduct of Examination Act 1988 in case of failure to comply with the directions,” he had said.
The evaluation of answer scripts of Plus II examination will start on April 4 in 49 valuation zones of the state. The first phase of the evaluation would be conducted from April 4 to 13, while the second phase evaluation would be held from April 16 to 25. About 15,000 teachers have been roped in for the work. The council aims to publish the results by mid May.
