Rourkela: A wild tusker was found dead at the Sol forest range under Bonai forest division in Sundargarh district Saturday morning.
The reason for the death of the four-year-old jumbo is not yet known.
According to reports, some locals, who spotted the carcass of the tusker while they were collecting firewood at the Kunjur reserve forest, informed the forest officials.
“The wild pachyderm died Friday night. However, the exact cause of the death will be known only after the post-mortem,” said a forest official.
