Mathili, Oct 31: Reign of terror unleashed by the Maoist in the areas, close to Chhattisgarh border, of this block in Malkangiri district refuses to die down as they sliced the throat of another man late Friday night
accusing him as a police
informer.
The deceased was identified as Bhima Padiami(31), of Dandipadar village under Mahupadar panchayat of this block. Guerrillas abducted him a fortnight ago suspecting him to be a mole of the police. They dumped the body before his house with his throat slit.
According to reports, the Maoists held a prajacourt inside the forest near Dandipadar village. They convicted Bhima saying his act was against the interest of the organisation and he was a police informer. He was executed according to the verdict pronounced by area commander Binod Kashyap. Darbha division area committee carried out the order.
Bhima was working as the secretary of a watershed project and came to block headquarters October 18 for the last time. The rebels abducted him after he returned home.
The reds kidnapped Bhima on a few other occasions also. They reprimanded him and asked him not to work against the organisation and let him go. He was one of the youths who were abducted in the month of August.
Then the rebels brutally thrashed him in a prajacourt and later he was
released.
The present incident has triggered panic in the area. This is the second such incident by the Maoists in October. Earlier in the month, the ultras picked up Dambaru Sagaria of Harijan Sahi near Mahupadar and killed him after accused him of being a police informer.
