Bhanjanagar: The police are yet to trace the whereabouts of under-trial prisoner Babu Nayak, who escaped from the special sub jail here two days ago.
It was alleged that the blue print for Babu’s escape was planned in the jail itself. The anti-socials who were released a few months ago have helped him escape from the jail, reports said.
Police also suspected that Babu had used a mobile phone before his escape. However, neither the SIM nor the phone has so far been seized.
The DIG Raghunath Majhi conducted an enquiry during his visit to the jail after the incident Tuesday.
Babu might have escaped to Kandhamal, sources said.
