Baripada: A woman was critically injured after being buried under the debris when a wall of her house collapsed at Jadida village of Managovindpur panchayat under Badasahi block in Mayurbhanj district Thursday night.
The injured woman was identified as Kunjalata (35), wife of Laxmidhar Jena of the village.
According to reports, Kunjalata’s leg and hand were fractured after a portion of wall of her house collapsed on her while she was sleeping.
It is learnt that the wall collapsed due to incessant rains triggered by the Cyclonic storm ‘Daye’ which gradually weakened to deep-depression Friday.
Kunjalata was initially admitted to a nearby hospital but later she was shifted to Balasore hospital for treatment as her condition deteriorated.
