Balikuda: A woman diedFridayas she was trapped under a green gram harvesting machine at Kania village of Alabhar panchayat of Jagatsinghpur district. The deceased was Sabita (35), wife of Jugal Kishore Das.
Police said Sabita was returning from the family farm with bundles of harvested green gram. The green gram harvesting machine of Brundaban Parida of Katikata village was also being towed by a tractor along the same path. The machine turned turtle and overturned, trapping Sabita under it. Her head crushed under the weight of the machine.
Balikuda police reached the spot and seized the body and the vehicle. The tractor driver was on the run.
