Nagpur: A newly-married woman from Nagpur in Maharashtra allegedly killed her husband to be with her lover, whom she befriended through Facebook.
Shekhar Paunikar, 29, was found dead a few days back. Under circumstantial evidences, police registered a case of murder and launched a probe.
Within 24 hours, police cracked the case and arrested Shekhar’s wife Rashmi and her facebook friend Prajwal (21).
The police investigation revealed that Rashmi had an affair with Prajwal, with whom she came in contact through Facebook.
She remained in contact with him even after marriage and together they planned to eliminate Shekhar as he scolded her to mend her ways.
As per plan, the woman took Shekhar to an isolated place on some pretext where she was joined by Prajwal. Later, the two strangled him to death and fled after dumping the body.
