Kalimera: In a tragic incident, a woman allegedly poisoned her two children and later committed suicide by consuming poison Saturday at Telarai village under Kalimera block in Malkangiri district.
The woman and her minor son died at the spot, however, a minor has survived and is recovering at the government-run Kalimera district headquarter hospital due to the timely intervention of the neighbours. The incident has sent shockwaves in the entire region.
The deceased have been identified as mother Muke Padiyami and son Muna padiyami.
On being informed, Kalimera police reached the hospital and launched an investigation into the incident. The reason as to why the woman committed such a crime is yet to be ascertained.
