Bari: Aditri Saikri ti Jena, a promising young badminton player from Jajpur, won the gold medal in the girls’ under-9 category at the Yonex-Sunrise OSBA All Odisha Mini (U-9 and U-11) and Sub-Junior (U-13) State Ranking Badminton Tournament, recently organised by the District Badminton Association, at Pokhariput of Bhubaneswar.
She also advanced to the semifinals in the girls’ under-11 category. With the victory, Aditri secured the No. 1 state ranking in the girls’ under-9 category, bringing pride to her family and coaches.
She is the younger daughter of Biswajit Jena and Shikha Samantaray. She trains at the Panipat Refinery Township Officers’ Club under coach Su man Kumar Mishra.
Her dedication, discipline and consistent hard work have established her as one of Odisha’s emerging badminton talents.
