BHUBANESWAR: Poetic Imagica, a young group of literature enthusiasts, organised an event named Afsaana Tuesday
At this event, bridges of phrases were constructed and words flowed like rivers. The ‘Open ’ held at Khabad Khanna DLF Cyber City Patia was a celebration of poetry, spoken word, and of course, stories.
Afsaana is nothing but, as the name suggests, an amusing step taken for the sake of emotions and literature. It’s a miniscule proposition, but definitely a step towards bringing out stories, and letting them out to the world.
Shreetam Swain, founder of Poetic Imagica, said, “The aim of Poetic Imagica is to provide a platform for all the enthusiasts of literature which will help people to showcase their talent. It is a small step towards bringing young budding talents into limelight.”
The Open Mic session witnessed participation of various age groups showcasing their literary talent. Writers, stand-up comedians, story tellers and others turned up in large numbers at the event organised by Poetic Imagica in association with Poetic Weed. Stand-up comedians of Bhubaneswar Jyotiranjan Dash and Agnivesh Mohapatra were the guests of honour.
Credit for the success of the event goes to founders of Poetic Imagica and Poet’s Weed Shreetam Swain and Animesh Mishra respectively and the organizing team members Yannam Deepak, Manmath, Barshana Rai, Bikash, Tanmay and Rohith among others.
With the support of such enthusiasts of literature, the organisers will be looking forward to organizing more such events to encourage the art of writing.
