108 ambulance trains air force on first aid

Bhubaneswar: On World First Aid Day 2025, the 108 Ambulance team held an Emergency First Responder Training Programme at the Air Force Selection Centre.

The event, attended by Group Captain Sanjay Pattnaik and 108 Ambulance State Head Sabyasachi Biswal, highlighted the service’s contributions since its Odisha launch March 5, 2013.

Certified trainer Pramit Priyadarshan Panda conducted sessions for Air Force personnel on handling emergencies such as heart attacks, fainting, breathing difficulties, bleeding, splinting, bandaging, insect and animal bites, and snakebites, with hands-on practice and live demonstrations.

CPR training was a key focus. Officials emphasised expanding such initiatives statewide to enhance emergency readiness.
