Keonjhar: As many as 11 persons including six children were taken ill after consuming poultry meat curry at Amrutpur village under Aaitipur panchayat and this block in Keonjhar district, a source said Thursday.
The sick include three women, two men and six children. All are family members of a resident Ananta Narayan Dash of the village.
Sources said one of the family members had brought poultry meat from Gedma Square in the village. Later, the women members prepared curry and served it during lunch. However, after eating the curry, all of them experienced vomiting and head reeling.
The ailing family members were rushed to Salania community health centre (CHC) and later shifted to Anandapur sub-divisional hospital after their health condition failed to improve. However, their health condition improved after doctors administered them treatment at Anandapur sub-divisional hospital.
