Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha has recorded 11,086 new Covid-19 cases, of which 1061 children are in the age group of 0-18. Now, active cases in the state stand at 8, 0914.
On the other hand, Covid-19 death toll in the state mounted to 8488 after four persons-one each from Cuttack, Kendrapara, Koraput, Sundargarh succumbed to the virus.
- A 56 year old male of Cuttack District
- A 14 year old female of Kendrapara District
- A 60 year old female of Koraput District who was also suffering from Hypertension
- A 88 year old male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension

Out of the total 11,086 new infections, 6,431 were reported from quarantine centres while 4,655 persons contracted the virus locally. The state had registered 10,489 cases of coronavirus infections Monday with 982 below 0-18 years age group.
Khurda district registered the highest number of new cases with 3469 persons testing positive for the disease, followed by Sundargarh with 1,416 new infections and 766 in Cuttack.
