Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police, Sunday, arrested two drug peddlers outside the campus of a prominent educational institution at Kalinga Nagar under Khandagiri police station limits on the outskirts of the city.
The accused were identified as Ranjit Kumar Gochhayat alias Bapi, 35, of Kakatpur in Puri and Baibarta Ranjit, Paikarajpur under Chandaka police station limits here.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and arrested the accused persons near the campus while they were waiting for customers there. The duo used to sell brown sugar and reportedly their clientele includes college students too.
Police seized one motor cycle, a mobile and nine grams of brown sugar worth around Rs 45,000 from the duo.
They were sent to judicial custody after police produced the duo in the court.
