Ghatagaon: Two minor sisters drowned in a pond at Naladhipa Sahi under Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district. Pritimanjari Munda (4) and her sister Baijyanti Munda (5) had gone to attend the local Anganwadi centre.
Family members searched for them after they did not return home. They were spotted floating in the pond and were rushed to Ghatagaon community health centre (CHC) where doctors declared them brought dead.
A case of unnatural death was registered and the bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
