Rajnagar: Acting on the order from Kendrapara collector, the forest officials removed enclosures of 36 illegal prawn farming at Bhitarkanika and nearby areas.
However, some local people alleged that the farm of a forest official was spared from being removed.
According to reports, a complaint was filed to the district collector regarding illegal farming on the forest land near Durga Prasad Mauja of Dangamal Panchayat in Rajnagar block.
The collector Raghu G inspected the place and warned the owners to stop farming but they neglected the order.
Later Wednesday, forest officials along with the police smashed the illegal prawn farming enclosures.
