Tihidi: Acting on reliable information, police Thursday intercepted a biker and seized Rs 4.10L from his possession on Bhadrak-Chandbali road near Bindha Baazar here in Bhadrak district.
According to sources, the youth from Nuasahi village under Ghanteswar panchayat was on his way to Bhadrak on a motorbike late Wednesday night.
Suspecting his movements, locals tipped off the cops of his whereabouts. Later, a police team chased him and intercepted him near Bindha Baazar. During checking, police seized the cash from his bike ‘diki’ and detained him for interrogation.
Thursday morning, he was produced before the District Collector, reports said.
