Barang: An eight-foot long python was rescued from Andharua area here before it was released into the wild Wednesday. Sources said a few villagers spotted the non-venomous reptile approaching the village in the morning and informed the snake helpline members. “Snake helpline member Ashis Behera, along with a few officials of the Forest department, rushed to the spot and rescued the python before releasing it at Godibari forests,” said a villager. Of late, several pythons are being rescued from the area and released into the Chandaka forests.
