Bhubaneswar: Following a gap of few days, cold wave has again returned to the state, as a minimum temperature of below 10°C was recorded at eight places, Sunday.
As per Met report, the lowest temperature Phulbani town recorded the lowest temperature of in the state Sunday was 3.5°C, while it was 7 in the state Sunday was 3.5°C at Daringibadi and 7.5 in the state Sunday was 3.5°C at Sundergarh.
Other places that were recorded a minimum temperature of below 10°C are Hirakud (7.6°C), Angul (8°C), Jharsuguda (8.5°C), Keonjhar (8.9°C) and Sambalpur (9.6°C), the Met said. While the minimum temperature in the capital city Bhubaneswar was 14.4°C, it was 12.4°C in Cuttack.
Director of Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre Sarat Sahu said such weather conditions will prevail in the state till February 2. Moderate to dense fog is likely to occur in some places along the coasts during next four days, he added.
